Welcome to Santorini, the island recognized around the world as offering an atmosphere not only of peace and tranquility, but also of numerous choices of entertainment and relaxation. Melina Hotel is located in peaceful area in the island’s capital, Fira, only 5 minutes on foot from the shopping center, the banks, the restaurants, the discos, the transportation to all points of the island, the traditional pavements from where can have the magnificent view of the Caldera, volcano and the ornamented Greek churches. Amenities include a Bar, a TV lounge, freeWIFI connection fax/internet facilities, parking space,BBQ facilities and swimming pool. We have to leave our baggage in the middle of the common room near the door and when we ask the staff to put in a secure place, the girl look at us angry and do it with bad maners. It was THEIR fault that we have to change of room, it was a bit uncomfortable so maybe she could was kinder. The breakfast was simple but ok and the location very useful because the hotel is near the bus station and not far away from the city centre (but you have to cross a parking without lights in the night). | 4 |

It is well located, pretty much in the center of the town. The breakfast is awesome because, even though it is not a buffet, it's nicely prepared, big amounts of food and lovely cafe/tea (liven up with greek music) The couple owners/receptionist of the hotel, they are specially nice, they speak perfect english, spanish, italian, greek... they give you all the facilities and even show you in the map without asking, where to go, what they recommend us, etc. The rooms were good taking into account the price/quality. Nice view, clean and comfortable. The only thing that was a bit annoying is that the key of the room was also used for the light (in hotels normally is a card but you can lock the door once you have turn on the light without the card) so everytime you wanted to lock the door, you had to remove the key and got no light in the room. But anyway, not a big deal when you think of the hotel in general :) In conclusion, I would definitely come back to this hotel and I recommend it to anyone. Best Regards, Laura | 5 |
